Shakir Halid Shalash
Member of the Iraqi
Arts Association, the Calligraphy Association, and the Journalists Association. He has been engaged in art
for 14 years and has held solo exhibitions in Iraq, Morocco, Saudi Arabia,
Tunisia, and Yemen. He mainly engaged in zenith
painting and mural painting. He used
to be the head of the Art Department of the Iraqi Student Union and is
currently the director of the gallery exhibition
department of the Iraqi Ministry of Culture. He has won the gold medal in the
"The Hugo Award" international
competition organized by the French Cultural Center, the Best Plastic Art Award
at the Bartra International Art Festival in Greece, and the Iraqi Mural and
Poster Design Award.
